Our research efforts are concentrated primarily on the specialist area of adsorption and protection against the effects of dangerous chemicals. Our work takes in the whole spectrum, ranging from the manufacture and application of adsorbents, the manufacture of filter media through to their application in industrial and medical fields, and the production of consumer goods and safety garments.

Adsorption processes find applications for example in drinking water purification, adsorbing odours from the ambient air (e.g. in cabin air filters for aircraft) and removing troublesome gases in industrial processes such as in filters for clean rooms.
