    The BBK has selected a special protective coverall jointly developed with Blücher for use in disaster response operations. This one-piece suit is an integral part of its
    personal protection equipment. It fulfils all requirements with respect to protective performance, durability and other mechanical properties according to the technical terms of supply for “lightweight CBRN protective clothing” specified by the BWB (Federal Office for Defence Technology and Procurement). The protective coverall is type-examination tested and CE-certified.

However these significantly limit the wearer’s ability to act due to additional weight, increased volume, reduced mobility and with these, greater physiological strain.   • CBRN PROTECTIVE FLIGHT COVERALL
     

    Blücher’s European flight coverall is a new lightweight alternative to previous generations of CBRN protective flight coveralls. This light one-piece suit offers complete protection against military threats such as fire and gaseous or liquid chemical and biological weapons. It is both oil and water repellent, very hard-wearing and fulfils the antistatic requirements. Flame-resistant fibres provide protection against heat and fire. The material is permeable to air, thus reducing the heat-stress for the wearer during longer flight operations in contaminated environments.

  • THW CBRN PROTECTIVE SUIT

    The personnel of the Agency for Technical Relief (THW) have to conduct a wide variety of tasks, e.g. by providing technology and personnel in the wake of disasters. Special units fulfill their missions in contaminated environments. During emergencies, the personnel often come into contact with toxic vapours and other harmful substances. The CBRN special units for the Soccer World Cup in 2006 were

  • OPCW CBRN PROTECTIVE GARMENT

    This new one-piece CBRN protective overgarment was developed by Blücher in cooperation with the central training division of the OPCW. Through the innovative utilization of a new generation of SARATOGA® protective materials, the protective properties of the suit have been increased over the prior generation of OPCW suits, yet the weight of the suit has been reduced by 25%. The experts at the OPCW carefully defined its own requirements for protective suits, and had a wide range of suits from many different companies tested to determine whether they would meet those real-world requirements.
